With dental technology
in its heyday, the thought of traditional braces
might not be the first solution to cross one’s
mind. But when it comes to aligning the most impressionable
feature on one’s face, many people don’t
consider the proven success rate for traditional
dental braces.
Those
suffering from malocclusion, or misaligned teeth,
including under bites, overbites, cross bites, open
bites, crowded or crooked teeth can find sure fire
results with the orthodontic method of braces, which
are constructed from titanium wire, adhesive and
rubber bands. Braces can align crooked teeth in
most male and female children, teens and adults.
After
consulting with an orthodontist and determining
if traditional braces are the right solution for
you, your dentist should take x-rays and impressions
of your teeth to begin the treatment plan. If your
dentist is not board-certified to treat malocclusion
with braces, however, you may find yourself searching
for a new one.
At
Gateway Dental, Dr. Bobby Grossi will consult with
you and inspect your teeth during your initial consultation,
and may even recommend a better, less expensive
solution, such as Invisalign or invisible braces.
Once the best method is determined, an appointment
will be scheduled to have the braces applied. Children
and teens might even find reprieve in the option
of choosing their own rubber band colors to hold
the braces in place.
Traditional
braces usually take one to three years of treatment
before a smile is completely realigned, requiring
the patient to report back to the dentist chair
at least once every four to six weeks. But treatment
plans vary based on the severity and complexity
of each patient’s level of malocclusion.
At Gateway Dental, a well known and certified dentist
and orthopedic office in the Flint area, payment
plans and financing options are always available.
Let
Dr. Bobby Grossi help you achieve the confidence
you’ve always wanted and experience the difference
today.
